Hey Burnt, if LA drivers are considerate, then SF drivers must be complete doormats. I'm a transplant from SF, and have my love for driving has drained completely since moving here. On the other hand, I do love NY drivers. Go figure. :)

Tasha, I'd hate to see how you fare in other cities. While I understand and agree with what you're saying (especially about waving), I'm a recent transplant from the midwest. During my time in LA, I've had conversations with various people from various areas of the country/continent about how much more considerate ("more considerate", not "completely considerate") LA drivers, on average, tend to be than drivers in other areas. So if you think LA drivers are bad, I'd hate to see your reaction while driving in, say, Pittsburgh (one of my least favorite places to drive).
