What's with that Wall on La Brea?

Streetartist MBW has been changing up the art on this wall on La Brea north south of Olympic every few weeks. He got into street art by making a movie on it, but he never finished-- and ended up becoming an artist while trying to promote it.

Art seen at this very same spot include the Mona Lisa and Marion Cottillard pieces. Now he's gone Star Trek. Could it be that he's excited for JJ Abram's version of it coming out in May of 2009?

a virus hoax relating to Microsoft

a punk compilation put out by Gary Kail "Life is beautiful (So why not eat health food?)" as a follow-up to "Life is Ugly (So why not kill yourself?)" With a cool Raymond Pettibon cover, "Life is Beautiful" is impossible to find nowadays.
