Last night the El Rey Theater was host to British music magazine NME's first US awards. You can find the list of award winners at Twisted Ear, since it seems like the sudden attention has crashed NME's website. For a recap of the awards show, check out MOG.
I was all about the red carpet! For those of you who have read my bio, you know it has been one of my life's goals to meet Alice Cooper. While we won't be having tea anytime soon, I can cross that one off my list. Check out my red carpet adventures along with the photos, and stay tuned for more coverage of the most spectacular entrance of the night.
Want to know what else pisses off the paparazzi? Stars who rush down the red carpet. After I got this shot of Sienna Miller, pecking order was enforced and I had to move down towards the lovely fire sprinkler backdrop you will be seeing in the rest of my pictures. Those guys bitched for a half-hour about missing this shot and kept trying to get someone to make her come back out. I said, "I got the shot." One guy scoffed, "Yeah, right, email it to me." His loss. I totally would have and he could have charged Star magazine 500 bucks. Oops, too late, I just gave it up for free. Enjoy your free Sienna Miller, everybody. (Elise Thompson)

This is so great! Wow, Mick Jones is looking rough. I met Paul Simonon last year and he's still got it! ;) The post-punk vs. new wave part is priceless.

A few photogs assumed that was his girlfriend, and he kind of took offense at their lasciviousness.
