I Met Alice Cooper! Plus There was Some NME Awards Thing Too

Last night the El Rey Theater was host to British music magazine NME's first US awards. You can find the list of award winners at Twisted Ear, since it seems like the sudden attention has crashed NME's website. For a recap of the awards show, check out MOG.

I was all about the red carpet! For those of you who have read my bio, you know it has been one of my life's goals to meet Alice Cooper. While we won't be having tea anytime soon, I can cross that one off my list. Check out my red carpet adventures along with the photos, and stay tuned for more coverage of the most spectacular entrance of the night.

The paparazzi at some of these events are very intense. I am usually the only woman there. They are like a pack of wolves, but if you can deal with the pecking order, the joshing, the pushing, and the occasional hard elbow in the rib, they eventually leave you alone. And once you are part of the pack, the security leaves you alone because the paparazzi even scare them. With one exception at the El Rey - stay off the sidewalk. Security was very intent on keeping those sidewalks clear. (Elise Thompson)
