TV Junkie: Tuesday
It's Earth Day on (some of) TV. Below are some marked programming that is Earth Day-related and of course there's plenty online, including web "TV" properties like Joost who have launched an Earth Day Channel.
8:00pm Nova: Car of the Future PBS/KCET - Tom and Ray Magliozzi of NPR's ``Car Talk'' examine new technologies and ideas for transportation, including alternative fuel sources. Earth Day!
8:30pm The Major and the Minor Comedy TCM - (1942) A military-school major (Ray Milland) eyes blonde hottie Ginger Rogers posing as a 12-year-old on a train. Not Earth Day (but a good movie just the same).
9:00-10:00pm Big Ideas for a Small Planet: Gen Y/he Greening of Southie SUNDANCE - Supposedly Gen Y will save the planet - then the building an actual green building in Boston. Earth Day!
10:00pm Work Out BRAVO - Jackie tells the female trainers that they're going on a cruise to Mexico. Lesbian drama ensues. Not Earth Day.
10:00pm Attack of the Show G4 - All about gas and biofuel, state of the auto industry and environmentally friendly cars, hybrids. Also, G4 partnered with Earth 911 to create Gcycle, G4’s plan to reduce eWaste - info on how/where to recycle old electronics at Gcycle. Earth Day!
