There are two types of fans:

1) fans who have a favorite team

2) fans who have a favorite team in that league. (NL/AL)

My favorite team is the LA Dodgers.

I hate every other team.

I am a Fan.

I am sorry guys but this article is very irritating. If the Dodgers fans and angels fans got along it would be really boring.

I personally believe there are some great angels fans but what bothers me is that a majority of the people who go to angels games have no sense of pride in their team. I went to see the yankees play at anaheim stadium just so i could cheer against the yankees. And the entire stadium was drowned by the sound of people cheering "Let's go yankees". I looked around and none of the angels fans gave a shit about this. This, to my recollection, has never happened in Dodger stadium. The one time the yankees came to Dodger stadium we took 2 out of 3 and not once did the yankees fans have their way at our stadium.

jaime moreno had no right changing the name of the angels to los angeles angels of anaheim. The angels should never be mentioned in the same sentence with the Dodgers.

I feel bad for those few true angels fans who have to sit in that stadium with those lackluster so called fans.

my condolences.

100% agree with you Cody. Great post!

It is hard to wear red in this part of town, but we Angels fans need to ignore the jeers and leers and embrace our Halo Pride outside of Orange County. It may seem frightening at first, but after your first Freeway Series game eating a Dodger Dog while wearing red, life just seems to get little bit easier.

The Militant's Dodger fanaticism is well-known. However he doesn't hate the Angels. He actually likes them, he just thinks the Dodgers are the better team (and much more closer). He actually roots for the Angels anytime when they're not playing the Boys in Blue. The 2002 World Series was a no-brainer.

Regarding the whole "Los Angeles Angels" flap, he is actually in support of Moreno's marketing scheme. Having more than one team with the "Los Angeles" market name further legitimizes us as a great city. All this "There's only one team" jabber is BS. Milwaukee is a one-team city. Tampa Bay is a one-team city. This is Los Angeles, get real.

In fact the Militant's only complaint about LAA is that they half-ass their "Los Angeles"-ness. It doesn't appear anywhere on their uniforms. If you're gonna represent a city, a market even, wear it with pride, or don't even bother.
