Unfair competition? When a restaurant is willing to serve me killer food for 3 bucks at 4am right in front of club I was at, right on my way home, I'm there. No one can equal street food. I have been eating at taco trucks my whole life and not once gotten sick. I have gotten food poisoning from a few swanky sit-downs though. Viva la taco truck!

I get lunch at a taco truck that stops by my work sometimes. 2 tacos for 3 bucks is not bad but for $6.50-$7 I could get 3 at a Mexican restaurant near me and unlike the taco truck, I will not have to pick out any gristle. The biggest complaint I've heard about the trucks is all the trash that accompanies them - the patrons litter. Seems like they could make more money by having an officer stroll by and give tickets to the assholes that think the sidewalk and other people's front lawns are their trashcans. $1,000 and jail for driver's going (or staying) with their customers is excessive.

kids at oxy (occidental college) worship the local taco trux in eagle rock...but I've never known them to move around...ever! can some of them get special permits to park longer or something? I don't wanna get em in trouble er nuttin...

Taco trucks are the best thing especially at 2am when your stumbling out of a club. "Unfair competition they say? It's all about competition baby and if you don't like it, then your in the wrong business. Restraints are always in competition with each other. Get over yourself you big babies!
