Santa Monica Goes Green, Weirdness Emerges

IMG_2742.JPG

I innocently went to Third Street Promenade on Saturday to go shopping to put together a new "I'm single and available" look as the current one isn't working, and happened upon some sort of pre-Earth Day, super green I heart the environment festival. Fortunately Earth Day brings out the best of Santa Monica, and my camera and I happened to be there. I can't appropriately put words to this, so just click the photos.

Anyway, you can be sure as hell that I'll be at the big festival next weekend. This is only a preview.

Awesome photo essay, Mal! The picture of the SHAM especially got me. Except it wasn't a half ass man, it was a full ass man.

And the Crocs. Ugh. Never mind save the planet - save our feet (and our eyes!) from horrible plastic holey shoes!

I thought the "bride" was demonstrating how our planet is being smothered by plastics.

Yes I was quite impressed with all the "green" products from the plug in air fresheners to the booth with all the information about "the real killers on 9/11". Then there was a giant snake near Barnes & Noble.
