Composer Helmut Lachenmann
makes a rare visit to Los Angeles for this portrait concert that explores three of his works, including the West Coast premiere of the truly spectacular Mouvement for fifteen players.

The NYC-based, nonprofit storytelling organization The Moth holds its GrandSLAM finals tonight. The winning storyteller – whose story will be featured on The Moth’s newly launched podcast – will be determined by guest judges Rob Huebel (MTV’s Human Giant), Evan Handler (Sex and the City), Rob Corddry (The Daily Show), and Christie Smith (talent manager, Mosaic). The theme tonight? “When Worlds Collide.”

The Beatles’ film Help! is a spoof on the James Bond film, trippier and hippier. A group of cult members pursue the Fab Four around the world in an attempt to get back their special ring from Ringo.
