<description>&lt;p&gt;About three weeks ago, I called on a Friday and got a table for 2 the next day at 7:00 PM with no trouble. Risky, but yay for cancellations!

We also got the Grilled Beef Tagliata and Beef Brasato, absolutely excellent choices! The starter and pasta we had -- Afetati Misti and Tagliatelle with Oxtail Ragu -- were delicious too.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;what i usually do is say that I see on open table that they have open reservations at this time but i wanted to call in person (if they have it). i&apos;ve always gotten 7:30-8:30.

if you&apos;re only going solo or with one other person, show up unannounced. It never takes too long (even at mozza, unless its prime time friday/saturday night). if its a special occasion and you want reservations, let them know right away. they are usually more open to giving better times. usually 30mins/1hr later than what they would normally suggest. 

and also being polite really helps. lots of thank yous, and proper language (yes instead of yeah..etc)&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;The 5:30 / 9:45 thing is a scam and a lie. Restaurants give you these times when you call for a reservation because those are the dead times.

The best way is to just show up at 7:30. Even if they told you on the phone they were full then, they really aren&apos;t.

 I know I read an article talking about this recently.. but i can&apos;t find it now.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;I haven&apos;t tried Osteria yet, but I have always been able to swing by the pizzeria and sit at the bar on the right wall (like I did last night for a to go pizza).  Sean (the guy with glasses) is a great bartender and I recommend the long broccoli pizza.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
