Dallas Stars defeat Anaheim Ducks 4-0. 11 penalties by the Ducks, excellent penalty killing by the Stars. That's the story of the game. The Stars score all four goals during the power play, and the Ducks just couldn't get anything going. The Ducks only had 23 shots-on-goal compared to the 37 by the Stars. This was not the way the Ducks wanted to start their defense of the Stanley Cup.
LA Lakers defeat LA Clippers. It started rough when the Clippers took a 20-9 lead. But the Lakers got things going on their way to a victory. Hopefully this will tune them up for their next two games against the New Orleans Hornets tomorrow and San Antonio Spurs Sunday night. It's really sad about the Clippers though. They were so desperate they got Smush Parker to play for them. A thing to mention: CHRIS MIHM SIGHTING!
Tonight's Action
New Orleans Hornets at LA Lakers. 7:30 pm FSN West, AM 570 KLAC.
San Diego Padres at LA Dodgers. What we have here is a pitchers duel. Brad Penny looks to right the ship against Jake Peavy and his alleged illegal substance. I'm going to be at the game and hope to see a dugout clearing brawl. 7:40 pm FSN Prime Ticket, AM 790 KABC.
LA Angels at Seattle Mariners. Jered Weaver goes against the Mariner's Felix Hernandez. The Angel offense looks like it has righted itself while the Mariners just don't look good at all. 7:10 pm KCOP 13, AM 830 KLAA.
