i wish there was a direct route from burbank to the pasadena area. i'd have to take the metrolink downtown, then transfer there to get into pasadena. just does not make sense. driving takes me about 15 minutes, tops. what we need is a monorail going over the freeway, going from the 5 to the 134.

I know that station. That place always has the most overpriced gas in LA. Last time I filled up there, the only reason I was willing to buy gas from them was because my fuel tank light had come on.

One of my new favorite things is filling up, now that I've moved from LA to Dubai... Gas is pegged at $1.42/gallon, here.

commuting from the valley to claremont would take a long time and the metrolink stops running at an early hour, which is not feasible since i take evening classes. my classmate and i both carpool to class and we each have hybrids and that helps a lot.

Yeah I'm in the same dilemma. I can take the train from Rosemead into Downtown but that took me an hour and a half when driving takes me 30 mins with traffic.

Yeah, Pasadena to Westwood is a lenghty trip these days. Well, anything to Westwood can be a pain.

I'm all for public transportation, but when I decided to save gas yesterday by taking the Gold Line and Metro Rapid bus from my home in Highland Park to my office in Westwood, the round trip took me FOUR AND A HALF HOURS. Until they build the subway to the sea, public transportation is not a practical option for some folks.
