Tonight in Rock: No Longer Metal Skool, Now Steel Panther

In case you've noticed a Monday night staple at the Key Club missing on the listings, they're still there, just with a new name. The crazy and bawdy Metal Skool changed their name last month to Steel Panther. In a statement, they said this was a long time coming: “Since our earliest days as Danger Kitty, we’ve had a thing for pussy… as Steel Panther, we will continue this legacy.” If you don't know what these guys are all about, check out this video (NSFW Audio!!). Moving on...

In other news, Coachella is less than three weeks away and Little Radio has some passes to give away. But since the brain needs music before then, here's your nightly fill:

Jake LaBotz @ Redwood Bar
Radars to the Sky, The Parson Red Heads, Aushua, The Weather Underground @ The Echo
China Forbes @ The Troubadour
Johnathan Rice, Nik Freitas, Pierre De Reeder @ Spaceland
Finch, The Secret Handshake and Halos @ The Roxy
The Riders of the Purple Sage @ The Coffee Gallery Backstage
Moving Picture Show, Shiloe, Teddy's Cheer Club @ Crash Mansion L.A.
Steel Panther, Paperback Hero, Cockpit, Uriah @ Key Club
