As predicted and wished for here on LAist back on February 7th, Radiohead has confirmed their summer tour dates, four of which include Southern California including two Hollywood Bowl performances. Rawk!
After a show in San Francisco, here's the deal:
- August Sun 24: Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles, CA)
- August Mon 25: Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles, CA)
- August Wed 27: Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre (Chula Vista, CA)
- August Thu 28 Santa Barbara Bowl (Santa Barbara, CA)
Also: Pitchfork launched pitchfork.tv today with an exclusive Radiohead video.

I was hoping it would be at the Greek instead, but hey, tha Bowl is cool too!
At least with 17,000 seats, you know someone is not going to show.
This article could easily have been retitled: "Radiohead to play oh fuck it you won't get tickets anyway show."
Because damn, these things sell out in like 3 seconds.
HA! Ross, that's so true.
Does anyone know what TIME these tickets will go on sale?
STOP RECOMMENDING!!! WE WANT LESS PEOPLE TO KNOW!!!
:(
Well, you know Sam, by commenting you also raise the post's profile;)
Now, I'll go recommend the piece myself :P
Anyone have better luck getting tickets for similar shows in santa barbara as opposed to hollywood?
I have an inclination they'll be equally impossible...but I figured I would ask.
Here's the thing about Hollywood Bowl. There are always tickets if you walk up the day of. I'm not saying they will be the cheap seats, but there are always tickets.
Last year when Arcade Fire came to the H-Bowl, everyone was freaking out because tickets were sold out. Upon talking to the Bowl's manager, he said there were still some 5,000 seats available that night (I did not get the reason why).
He then said Underworld was the only concert that summer that was close to selling out with maybe a couple thousand seats left.
Of course, when it comes to Underworld/Aracde vs. Radiohead, the latter wins. I still think tix will be available for the hardcore willing to take a risk. And once they do that, then tix will be unavailable.
