PARTY
Celebrate Beauty Bar’s 8th birthday with free drinks from 9:30-10:30, and live sets from DJ’s Apollo Staar, Achilles & Matter, and Dia & Clifton. Started in New York in 1996 in an ex-beauty parlor, Beauty Bar has spread across the country with it’s 50’s inspired décor.

Today is the last day that REDCAT will feature LA-based artists Ed Fella and Geoff McFetridge’s graphic design exhibit, “Two Lines Align”. Artists will be in attendance for closing night for a discussion on the evolution of graphic design.

Architect Frank Gehry and music director Leon Botstein, make a special appearance at The Hammer Museum this afternoon. The Hammer’s speaker series aims to give the audience a personal experience with these great minds as they discuss culture, science, and the arts.

FILM
The Silent Movie Theatre keeps surprising us with their thoroughly enjoyable movie choices. This evening, the theatre screens Invincible Kung-Fu Legs for their You Hit Like A Girl: Ladies of Kung Fu series. The film is said to be the Taming of the Shrew meets Five Fingers of Death. You probably don’t want to miss it.
