Chango gets its 'A'

LAist Featured Photos contributor briansisepuede has this to say about the Echo Park staple: "For months (years?), Echo Park mini-institution Chango Coffee served multitudes who seemingly did not care that it was not up to top-notch LA County Health Code standards. For one brief period it was even down to a 'C'. Well, in late March 2008, Chango received its 'A'. So eat and drink without care."

The Yelp kids have given the coffeehouse and art gallery mixed reviews. "Can I give Zero stars? They deserve it," one reviewer asked who was forced to give it at least one star. Another reviewer comments on the females. "The male staff is always nice (for some reason the women there are really rude?)." Nevertheless, indie coffeehouses are the way to go, especially when they get an "A" rating.
