If you really need to have a beach ball at the game to play with, then maybe you should drag your five year old pathetic self to the park and play and stop pissing people off with your lack of maturity.

Great essay, Mal!

First - it's great to see a GIRL posting about baseball. All the times I call into the radio shows after the game it's just boys going on an on about Juan "the Error" Pierre. Who - I don't think is a bad player at all....

Second - that's night's game rocked. Beating the Giants is one thing, but the pitching was spectacular! Our rookies are just so exciting to watch. Trancoso gets put into the game at the worst times (remember his first pitch at Dodger Stadium was against Manny Ramirez), and does he freak out? Nope...just finishes the side and brings the boys in.

Fielding - except for the miss by Jones, it was like the ball had magnetic powers to travel from Rafe to Loney to Kent (and later Hu). Double Downs ain't just for Black Jack!

But, at the end of it all, it was the aggressive offense. I've been watching DeWitt for most of the preseason, and the stars aligned. LaRoche and Abreu better hurry up and get better, and then hit a nice streak when they do make it back to the field. Because - Torre's seeing DeWitt improve at the plate every game. His work at 3rd has been (knock on wood) spot on.

I've been saying it since spring training started. Kent and Rafe control the infield, and the kids are improving every...single...game. MELK (Martin, Ethier, Loney, and Kemp) have shown us they can be a dominating force. And, now Proctor, Hu, DeWitt, and Trancoso have shown us our farm team wasn't just a fluke.

Somewhere on a beautiful golf course - Grady Little is smiling down at a 9-iron.

Get out the brooms! Someone's gonna sweep in the Ravine tonight!

P.S.: I Called Russell First. I did that as soon as I found out that Ethier was married. Just check with my boyfriend. ;-)

P.P.S: And, what about Saito! OMG - makes 'em swing, foul the ball, and he gets to keep his pitch count low.

It was just a great game.
