FILM
LACMA hosts the Seventh Annual Young Directors Night featuring eight short films competing to win the Art of Film award. It's a very important night for these eight new filmmakers hoping to get their name out there and present their work to a creative audience.

FILM (part 2)
The Silent Movie Theatre ends their March series, Funkadelic Fairy Tales, with the director's cut of the "black expressionism" flick, Ganja & Hess. A tale of love and a cursed African blade that turns it's victims into vampires... Get ready for this art-horror classic to take you on a real trip.

ART
Today and tomorrow, the Alternative Art Market aims to bring back hand-made goods and ban mass manufactured products. Local artists designed everything at the sale from scratch, including clothing, illustrations, and jewelry. Event includes D.J. and drinks.

MUSIC
The Living Dead Fest takes over The Key Club tonight with horror-punk rock groups Rezurex, The White Coffin Terror, The Triggers, Order of the Fly, More than Never, and The Astro Zombies all the way from Spain. You don't want to miss the Zombie Walk taking place before the concert just out front, in honor of tonight's festival.

EXHIBIT
The Art of Cars opens today, featuring storyboards, character drawings, life size replicas of the main characters of Disney Pixar's Cars. John Lasseter himself worked with the Automotive Museum to create this one of a kind exhibition, open until November 2nd.

SKATE*
The fourth Saturday of every month, World on Wheels roller rink hosts Space is the Place Roller Disco. Downstairs is the rink, disco ball included, while upstairs is for the 21+ crowd with it's own bar and karaoke to sing your heart out.
