Holy! See all that blue? Most likely, your street has been caught on camera. After this past summer when Google initially released a very limited Street View function in Los Angeles, a vast improvement in coverage all over Los Angeles and Orange counties was recently released.

Now, did they get your street this time?

Now if only we could embed real-time traffic overlays ;-)

Google to Lakewood: Screw you.

i live in west covina and i just discovered it today... funny how i do that and then i read it here. so its kinda cool but at the same time... feels a bit creepy.

My house will be forever immortalized with a port-a-potty on our front lawn, due to our neighbors' now-completed construction project. Google, you're really mean.

looks like that picture in Al Gore's presentation.

LMAO

I just looked up my parents house in corona. My mom is in the front of the house taking out the trash. Creepy!

lovely our house has been immortalized w/the half painted fence - B&W, surprised the dogs aren't sitting out front posing for photos

Creepy is right! I just saw both my parents house, and mine... you can see right inside their open windows to the point where you just make out what's playing on the tv. It's quite disconcerting to imagine the little Google spy-car driving down into my parents cul-de-sac, filming their home, then doing a u-turn and driving away. Gives me the heeby-jeebies I tell ya...

Google maps is great. I recently started playing with it and incorporated places where photos were taken. It's great.

Have you tried clicking the button that says Traffic at the upper-right side of the Google map? :-)

It's only the freeway traffic at present, and I confess I much prefer the freeway-traffic maps at Sigalert.com, and the LADOT surface-street maps at trafficinfo.lacity.org, but I can't get those on my partner's Blackberry, like I can Google Maps.

Do Work Son!

I just took a leisurely Sunday googledrive through Hollywood Knolls, and I stumbled across Rob n Big's airbrushed mini-horsetrailer, parked on a curb.

Yes, Map nerd, I'm very familiar with the Traffic button -- what I meant was theh capability to bring the real time traffic overlay into an embed, as I believe you can do with the streetview?
