Geisha House Mood Fight Puts One Critical in Hospital*

Man stabbed at Geisha House in Hollywood leaving him critically injuredUpdate: "Authorities initially said the stabbing took place at Geisha House, which they said had been evacuated. However, in an e-mail to The Times this morning, a representative of the restaurant said the establishment was not open at the time of the incident," reported the LA Times earlier today. The incident actually took place inside the Mood nightclub and the stabbed victim collapsed near the Geisha House.

Hundreds of late-night restaurant club goers were removed last night from the celebrity-owned Geisha House in Hollywood after a fight left one man critically injured when he was stabbed in the stomach. The 1:30 a.m. fight was over a woman.

Restaurant security detained four men allegedly involved in the fight. Upon arrival, police detained eight people, but no arrests were made.

The restaurant is owned by Mike "Boogie" Malin of Big Brother, Seaon 7 fame and investors included Wilmer Valderrama and Ashton Kutcher. It is part of the Dolce Group which includes Ketchup and Bella Cucina Italiana.

The popular celeb destination has mixed reviews on Yelp. One of the best recent ones reads "wow, this is as unauthentic as sushi gets." One reviewer went as far as saying that "Geisha house is on its way to becoming an LA classic," adding to the ranks of Pinks and Chateau Marmont.
