I'm excited too, even though I'm a bike and Orange Line ride away. Back in college days when living up at CalArts in SCV, the drive to Pasadena to see a movie at Laemmle's was nice, but too far for an often occurrence. And Encino never seemed to be playing the movies we wanted to see.

Was there today...maybe later I can link to photos including a photo of the layout of the place.

The retail space will only be 10,000 or so square feet...unless you're including in the 42,000 square foot figure the movie theater.

They are also going to be restoring the 1920s era Phil's Diner, which is currently being stored behind the property, and will be installed towards the corner of the new complex (its a train-car style diner).

There is/was no mention of any residential units

THIS 'CRA/LA' [Community Redevelopment Law 1948]
is a great factor in NoHo development
There will be an office building and the Theaters which is bond to a ten year minium agreement and next to it and THE REASON I'M WRITING will be
the RESTORED Phil's Diner to it's exact original form
TWO PICS of Phils one in late haey day
and one I recently took where it is stored
down Weddington where ut will be relocated
from its original Chandler spot.
