LAist Visits Morning Becomes Eclectic on Location at SXSW

Sons and Daughters' entourage and others watch the band perform from the control room.
For the third consecutive year, KCRW's Nic Harcourt and crew set up shop in Austin's Tequila Mockingbird studios to produce Morning Becomes Eclectic during South by Southwest. We caught up with them for the first of three live in-studio sessions last week and witnessed the raw power of Glasgow's Sons and Daughters.
If our SXSW posts make it seem like it's easier to rendezvous with fellow Angelenos in Austin than here in the megalopolis, well, it is... especially during the one week each year that the entire music industry rubs shoulders in the cozy capital of big Texas. More photos and video of the performance below.

Nic Harcourt looks like as big a tool as I've always imagined him...

Sons and Daughters skipped L.A. on their recent tour - bummer ; ;

Yeah, I asked them about that (I'll post my interview with Scott Paterson, S&D guitarist at a later date). They pushed their west coast dates back from late March to early May (after Coachella).
Paterson said they LOVE LA, so I asked if they might get to sneak in a smaller club date around Coachella-time.... *shrug* ... so, uh, Spaceland, et al, you might wanna give a shout out to their booking agent ;-)
