Aspiring Model Found Dead in Santa Monica Apartment*

Aspiring Model Juliana Redding possible murder in her Santa Monica apartment*Update, 3/20/08: There has been another apparent apartment murder in Santa Monica, this time a man in his 30s. However, police say there is no connection to Redding's assault. More info here.

Also, police are still waiting for Redding's autopsy results, but when finished, they will not be released to the public for another 30 to 60 days in lieu of a "security hold."

A mother's premonition can be strong and when Santa Monica resident Juliana Redding's mother called police after she hadn't heard from her for two days, Santa Monica officers found the 21-year-old aspiring model dead in her apartment. Santa Monica police Lieutenant Alex Padilla said it was unclear how long she was dead but did say it appeared that it was a result of an assault.

After moving to the area, Redding appeared in a small movie called Kathy T Gives Good Hoover where she met her ex-boyfriend, Greg Cipes, an actor who has appeared in various primetime TV shows. Cipes told KNBC that when they broke up, she "seemed unhappy" and said that she would call him every so often saying that "she was lonely and scared being in her apartment." Redding began to work at a strip club on Sunset Blvd. when they began to drift apart.

Police are treating her death as a homicide. Redding's body was discovered at 6:10 p.m. on Sunday at her apartment on the 1600 block of Centinela Avenue,

Wow. No forced entry. Door locked from the outside.

A bet the police are taking a real close look at the ex.

Cautionary tale ladies.

If you have a bad break up, CHANGE YOUR LOCKS!

Greg Cipes was never her boyfriend, just an old casual friend. She never worked in any strip club. He was the only one to say such a thing. He also said she was very lonely which is another lie. She had so many friends who were too respectful to make media comments so his bogus story was the only one that got heard. It did seem to get him the 15 minutes of attention that he sought by using her tragic death. Juliana never worked in any strip club, she worked at a restaurant and had many legitimate modeling gigs. She was a sweet unaffected girl who touched many hearts in her short life and she was dedicated to following her dreams without losing herself.
