Photo Essay: WizardWorld LA 2008

Harley Quinn and Robin
Looks like their parents have been giving them a formal education in comics. I would have to say that these kids are set for life. Aren't they adorable?

We were at Wizardworld LA this past weekend and snapped some photos. Follow the trail of breadcrumbs...

Spider-man drawing
Anthony Diecidue of Dangerkatt Studios drawing Spider-man on his Wacom.

Gears of War dudes
People from Nightmare Armor Studios dressed up as Gears of War.

Christina Strain
Christina Strain does coloring for the Marvel hit Runaways. She signed this lith for me. Awesome.

Robbi Rodriguez
Comic book artist Robbi Rodriguez.

Boba Fetts
Gangster Boba Fett meets Barfly Boba Fett.

Seth Green
Seth Green talks about Robot Chicken along with the other producers. This was by far the most entertaining panel we went to at the convention. These guys are just as funny in real life, and the next season of RC that we got to see a bit of looks killer.

Predator Jedi
A Predator Jedi, or PredJed I guess? He's with LAJedi, a group of enthusiastic Star Wars fans who practice the art of lightsaber-based martial arts together...

Baby Jedi
Ok, you have to admit that this little padawan is adorable.

David Finch
David Finch didn't hesitate to give LAist a smile. He's a big star artist in the comic book world if you didn't know already.

Rock Band Drummer Boy
This boy's family were finalists in the Rock Band Tournament. They went up against 4 20-year-old guys who sang Foo Fighters. The family with the two little boys sang Blitzkrieg Bop -- they should have won based on song choice alone.

Gothboobs
8 Films to Die For was doing on-site auditions for their next set of films.

J Scott Campbell
J Scott Campbell was just chillin' at the Golden Apple booth when someone who recognized him asked if he would draw them an original.

Lou Ferrigno
Lou Ferrigno, aka the OG Hulk.

Me and Chief Galen
Cool story...Chief Tyrol was walking around the show floor and NO ONE recognized him...except for yours truly. At first his friend jumped in "Oh they must think you're that guy..." and after having the biggest geek-out moment of my life in front of him, he was more than happy to take a picture. Yes, I know, this was the nerdiest...but if you don't watch BSG then as Dwight puts it, "you're an idiot".

Optimus Prime
Give the kid credit for an awesome effort.

Summer Glau
Summer Glau aka the new Terminator

Jedis in training
Young jedis in training.
