'They're Already Celebrating St. Paddy's Day?'

Girls with green beers by Caroline on Crack

Went to Finn McCool's in Santa Monica this afternoon for a "business meeting" and suddenly found myself surrounded by people dressed in green and drinking green beer and slamming Irish car bombs. I guess everyone's getting in their St. Patrick's Day celebration early to avoid the crazy bar crowds on Monday. Smart idea!

Step-by-step of Irish car bombing after the jump.

The girls in the above picture were celebrating the holiday early because they were college buddies from "all over the place" and wanted to get together. They had ordered a round of beer and added their own green food coloring, which they had kept in their purses. The green drinks looked so dark and gross but the girls seemed to enjoy it.

The guys in these shots arrived at the bar at 2 and immediately ordered a round of Guinness with Bailey's and Irish whiskey shots. After their fifth round I asked if I could take their pictures and they were more than happy to oblige.

Actually, today IS St. Patrick's day, per the Vatican.

So now we can all officially get our drink on TWICE this year in the name of St. Patrick.
