"Rule #22: Document the demonstration. Videos and pictures of the event may be used to corroborate your side of the story if law enforcement get involved. Furthermore, posting images and videos of your heroic actions all over the internet is bound to generate win, exhorting other Anonymous to follow your glorious example."

Both protests will be covered. We will be following Rule #22 at the AnswerLA.org rally. We understand the solidarity required for actions of this size.

"Rule #13: Anonymous is legion. Never be alone. Isolation during a protest marks you as a target for handlers who wish to provoke an angry reaction from you and other hostiles."

You are not alone.

We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. We will be heard. Expect us.

"We're talking extortion, kidnapping, murder. Slave labor. Very bad things."

Look up Junipero Serra, (and they cannonized him).

hero, A person makes a conscious choice about whether to let another person or religion control their lives, and last time I checked we have freedom of religion in this country.

So good luck, but I think you guys are charging at a windmill.

Most of us know that Scientology is a cult. However it's much worse than just some con-men stealing money.

We're talking extortion, kidnapping, murder. Slave labor. Very bad things.

No one is denying that the iraq war is a controversial and important subject, and we request that you do not discount our movement without reading up on it first.

Also, the demonstration is this weekend, as it is the celebration of LRH's birthday. Because of that there will be many (if not all) of the local Scientologists attending services, and a party afterwards. Our hope is to get them to think: "Why are these people protesting us?"

A seed of doubt can go a long way in helping a person that is trapped and confused.

Sorry to disappoint, torrmoz. Roman Catholic Anonymous here. :) I fully supported the protest efforts against my religious organization's handling of criminal activities that lead to media coverage and change within the Church, let's hope these protests have the same effect. Anonymous, go go go! See you on 3/15.

Nah, they aren't the new Ron Paul posts. If Scientology wants to go out and protest Anonymous, we'll announce and cover that too. But they aren't, so were not going to either.

Wow, anti-Scientology protest posts seem to be the new Ron Paul posts, now that Tony is gone.

I said it before and I'll say it again:

I'll assume that every participant in these protests are atheists, considering that every organized religion is guilty of these charges.

I don't think messages will get mixed up, however, you'll be both vying for media attention. Mainstream will pick up on the anti-war while internet will tend to pick up on Scientology.

We'll try our best to cover both here at LAist, submit photos to our Flickr pool or e-mail them our way!

Well interesting anyway.

I'm just wodering why they couldn't pick a different day.

Now our anti-war message will get to be mixed with their anti-Scientology message.

I think thousands of Americans soldiers, and hunderds of thousands of Iraqis, getting killed in an illegal war, might just be a little bit more important than protesting some bogus religion invented by some sci-fi huckster on a pub bet, that a lot of people bought into.
