So The Torrance Police Department busted these four people living in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. It turns out that they weren't tipped off by his Afghan rocket launcher, or the imitation police badges, or even the "Anarchist Cookbook" and other illegal books. They were busted because the police where there looking for drugs, and apparently ended up hitting the jackpot.
The house was located near the intersection of 190th and Rindge, within a few blocks of an elementary school.
What surprised me was that all these guns were bought legally and are supposedly going to be returned to the suspect when he is released.

Over 20 more pictures after the jump.

Wow!
Lots of guns and lots of meth! Like an efing time bomb waiting to go off! Good thing they caught 'em.
1. there's no such thing as an illegal book. it's 2008 not 1984.
2. looks legal to me. i've seen all that at any gun show. maybe a little weird to you or i but not necessarily dangerous.
(except for the meth of course)
An arsenal in suburbia? Trippy. It's such a low-crime, aging population and gentrified area.
It's for hunting! Yeah...."hunting"...
great photos!
I'm not a big gun loon, and I could care less what they read, but there's something real frightening about a bunch of speed junkies sitting around smoking meth, tweaking their asses off, with guns and ammunition.
Actually jrb, don't be too afraid. In their "tweak" state they might actually disassemble the weapons completely (including the trigger mechanisms). As they are wont to with things like TV's and radios.
It's when they run out of meth and have guns that are ready is the scary part...
Well, I'd be real surprised if the owner got the legal guns back. The DEA likes to seize all property even slightly involved with drugs.
Plus, no elected official wants to be the person who gives all the "scary" firearms back to the felon.
