GRAFFITI ART
Ghettogloss presents the graffiti art of Jersey Joe in Silverlake. The exhibit runs until March 20, but the opening reception is tonight from 7-midnight.

RIDE & TALK *

RIDE-Arc monthly ride -- themed "Trolly" -- happens tonight. The group rides along for awhile stopping along points of interest to discuss architecture, city history or urban planning. In other words, you get to exercise your mind AND your bod. Meet up between 9-9:30 pm at the gateways to the Southern Branch of USC, at the intersections of Heliotrope and Melrose streets (Bicycle District). The ride is around 20 miles.

FILM
The New Beverly is really kicking it old school tonight with two 1930s comedies from Ernst Lubitsch, who had a touch for sly comedy (that we desperately need more of today). Trouble in Paradise doesn't have Tara Reid in sight, but it does feature a love triangle between jewel thieves. One Hour with You focuses on the extramarital shenanigans of two couples.

The UCLA Film & Television Archive begins a series tonight called: "Wire, Tape and Rubber Band Style: The Effects of L.B. Abbott," who created special effects without the use of digital technology. Tonight, there's a double feature of Journey to the Center of the Earth and The Day the Earth Stood Still.

THEATRE
Edie Sedgwick, Andy Warhol's muse, is the centerpiece of the play Silver for Gold. The story traces her rise and fall with a rocking music, videos and minimalist staging. If that's not enough to entice you, how about the fact that it's written and directed by Love & Rockets/Bauhaus' David J?
