Workout Wednesday: Feel the burn, LA!

It's Workout Wednesday! With year-round great weather, awesome beaches, and a short drive to the snow, Los Angeles is the perfect place to get sweaty.

This weekend's LA Marathon inspired a lot of people to get back in shape. We're right around the corner from May (national fitness month) and summer (the season of svelte).

Of course, any workout routine can leave you stuck in a rut. Tired of staring at the same person's ass in spin class? Sick of the same barking dog when you go for a run in your neighborhood? Workout Wednesdays are your new friend -- and training partner.

Starting next week, we'll be breaking down the best things that you can do (and maybe a few to avoid) in your quest for the perfect LA body. Just try to remember that means being healthy on the inside. Do some cardio, build some muscles, and get ready to feel great about yourself. The first step is searching for Workout Wednesday here on LAist.

Yes, Rockreation, LA Gymnastics, and strip aerobics are on our agenda. We've got dozens of other ideas, but if you've stumbled onto something that we absolutely.can.not.miss ... drop an email to adam@laist.com.

If you're in a rush to try something new, check out Jessica's series called "Fitness for the Easily Bored" (the jumping-point for this endeavor):
