Tonight the Project Runway finale will tell us who will take the top spot on Season 4. Christian Siriano, Jillian Lewis, Rami Kashou survived weeks of grueling design challenges. Christian describes his collection as dark, romantic and gothic. Jillian Lewis’ found inspiration in 15th century armor. LAist wants to know if Rami Kashou’s modern take on Joan of Arc’s fighting gear will earn him the win.
While we wait for tonight’s episode, let’s take a moment to find out what some of our favorite designers are doing.
This season’s Kit Pistol continues design for her Kit Pistol line and is working on a campaign for the the Wasteland stores. She styles Samantha Harris for E! show, events, and Dancing with the Stars. On March 15 Kit Pistol is having a trunk show at Jack Henry Couture and on March 22 she is having an in-store event with Kit Pistol hair accessories and Too Faced cosmetics in Studio at Fred Segal Santa Monica.
Sweet P has been considering many offers. She live blogged the Oscars for MTV and will be on Jim Cantiello's MTV Project Runway recap .
Season 2 designer, Andrae Gonzalo designs for Single after Eight- their collection hits Bloomingdales stores this April. You can still buy his I’m So LA shirt here. LAist asked Andrae what he is doing these days:
I am contributing illustrations to a new book by Kate Hahn, a freelance writer for Salon.com. It's a really fun little satirical book which catalogues fictional fashion trends of the twentieth century. (I have the chapters on the 20's and the 50's) I'm also teaching at FIDM, in their creative design courses. They are the first set of fashion design courses that the students take in order to develop their abstract thinking skills and individual design philosophies.
LAist friend, Santino Rice is known for his custom gowns, product package design, and memorable TV appearances. Santino Rice designed SuChin Pak’s awesome fuscia frock for the MTV Movie Awards. Last month he created a gown for Broad Art Foundation Director and Chief Curtaor, Joanne Heyler gown to wear to the BCAM Opening Gala. Santino continues to be asked to do his famous Tim Gunn impression.
Season 3 winner, Jeffery Sebelia creates edgy designs for his Cosa Nostra line. His 2008 spring collection features Japanese floral fabrics and wax treated cotton pieces. Jeffrey has already produced his Fall 2008 women’s collection.

Rami might be the local boy but...GO CHRISTIAN!
GO RAMI!
Christian is Fierce!
Thanks for the updates.
I'm pulling for Rami!
I think Christian will pull it off, but I think I like Jillian's designs better. Rami hasn't shown much breadth, but his stuff looks gorgeous and, like Uli last year, has the clothes I suspect many women would love to wear.
I take it back. Christian deserved to win. While Rami's last four gowns were pretty effing terrific, I disliked his first few way more than I disliked anything by Jillian. Still, they all did a good job. The quality this year was orders of magnitude better than previous seasons.
