I saw this group at Broadway and 7th, about 3/4 of a mile before the finish line. They were barely trotting and they weren't sweating at all. If I had to guess I'd say they jumped in, oh, about a block before that. Easy publicity but I would have been much more impressed had they actually ran a relay or something.

Good thing they ran with those Epiphones. Gibsons weigh and are worth 10x more.

I think this group is great!! I can speak from an active participant in many different endurance organized runs or rides that this is the kind of thing that really makes you put that extra kick in during the last leg or any point of an event. Even if it only makes you smile briefly and forget about the pain you are most likely encountering for a moment. Keep it up and I say you know where your at...the JUNGLE BABY!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure they Rosie Ruiz-ed the marathon. Check out their results and you don't see any split times at the checkpoints (10K or Half). It's also incredible that a group of that size stayed together. Usually one person falls behind. And that guy is carrying a Gibson.

Cargo shorts, Converse hightops (I believe), carrying a guitar and a hat on his head? That guy didn't just ran a marathon.
