Members of the Towne Street Theatre are on stage tonight in a double bill. First is The 10 Minute Play Festival, which features plays ranging from comedy to satire to drama brought to you by 23 actors and 9 director. Second is PassingSOLO, a one-woman show based on their play version of Nella Larsen's 1927 novella Passing. There will be a talkback after every show.

INTERACTIVE MYSTERY DINNER THEATRE
A 4-course meal is paired with disco era-inspired mayhem and intrigue in Deadly Disco Cruise, a dinner-theatre extravaganza that doesn't actually hit the waters, but may inspire a hefty thirst. You'll have to buck up extra for the booze, but feel free to bring your own white man's overbite.

Tonight is the opening of local indie band Cold War Kids' bassist Matt Maust's photography show Your Alimony Won't Buy a Bigger Room at the Found Gallery. He's aided by Matthew Wignall, and this evening's reception will feature a live performance by Sparrow Love Crew.

Today is Day Two of the 3-day annual gathering in Long Beach celebrating the contemporary hipness of Judaism put on by the folks behind the web's Jewlicious. Events are slated all day and into the evening, and is aimed at young folks from all walks of life. There will be artists, filmmakers, guest speakers, comics, and lots of music.

MORE THEATRE: MUSICAL BIO-PLAY
The life and music of the Brit songstress who first immortalized "Son of a Preacher Man" gets the theatrical treatment in Stay Forever: The Life and Music of Dusty Springfield. The diva is played by Kristin Holly Smith, who sings Springfield's legendary tunes, as well as narrates and re-enacts episodes out of her turbulent off-stage life, including being outed by the press and her use of drugs and alcohol.
