I loathe the marathon. Every year it causes so many headaches for people who live near the route (which is a lot of us!) and there is little/no benefit to the city as a whole. When I was driving home from the bar tonight I saw over 20 cars being towed. I guess there is one winner from the marathon - tow truck companies.

Technically, this route is new, since they made a few adjustments after last year. http://lamarathon.com/Turn_by_Turn.516.0.html I agree, however, that the sentiment seemed to emphasize the newness of the North Hollywood and Downtown start/finish locations , which is misleading.

The marathon route is not new this year. The point-to-point course from North Hollywood to downtwon was new last year.

Los Angelopes and Midnight Ridazz are crashing the course at 3:00am! Meet at 39th and Exposition for a party on bikes!!!
