This weekend, the AMGEN Tour of California hit two Los Angeles area cities, Santa Clarita, yesterday, and Pasadena, today. Photographer Scott Groller was kind enough to share some photos from the finish line of Stage 6 in the Valencia neighborhood of Santa Clarita. The cyclists traveled 105.4 miles from Santa Barbara for a ride that lasted over four hours.

From the Tour of California website about yesterday's winner:

Saunier Duval's Luciano Pagliarini was awarded the win in Saturday's stage after officials relegated Team High Road's Mark Cavendish — the first over the line — for hanging onto a team car during the hectic final miles of the 2008 Amgen Tour of California's stage 6.

Cavendish was penalized 20 seconds after officials said the High Road rider grabbed onto the side of a team car while trying to catch back on to the peloton.
