TV: WATCH THE OSCARS
LAist's own TV Junkie has already given us the deets (and some alternatives), but in case you missed it, the 80th Annual Academy Awards are tonight, live from our very own Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Settle into your favorite spot in front of your tee vee and tune in along with zillions of other people around the world and see who wins what, who wears what, and if it rains on the red carpet.

5:00 p.m. // ABC--Channel 7 // Your house // Free

FILM--SORT OF
Prefer to watch the Oscars telecast with several other film fans in a movie theatre? Head out to the Cinefamily's Oscar Night event at the Silent Movie Theatre, and watch en masse with popcorn and predictions galore. Turn in your own ballot for the chance to win a year's membership, too.

4:00 p.m. // The Silent Movie Theatre // 611 N Fairfax Ave // $10

LEARNING
How about a seminar to turn your Sunday into a learning experience about inter-faith relations? "An Illuminated History of Jewish-Muslim Relations" looks at the tensions and commonalities between the two faiths through the lenses of religion, culture, and literature.

3:00 - 6:00 p.m. // Pacific Arts Center // 10469 Santa Monica Blvd. // (310) 657-5511 // $25

EXHIBIT
Make Art/Stop AIDS opens at UCLA's Fowler, and today there are three guided tours of the exhibit available to the public with curators David Gere and Robert Sember. The museum is open until 5 p.m.

2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 p.m. // Fowler Musuem at UCLA // 308 Charles E. Young Drive North // (310) 825-4361 // Free

READING
Rhapsodomancy is on tonight at the Good Luck Bar in Los Feliz. Celine Malanum describes it best, via Flavorpill: "This month's edition features Ellen Bass, whose intimate poetry uses precise, intuitive metaphors, and Frank X. Gaspar who, by contrast, prefers longer lines flecked with allusion. Gleah Powers writes of her dance and travel experiences, and Robert W. Fox's nonfiction revolves around the under-served teens he teaches at juvenile hall."

7:00 p.m. // Good Luck Bar // 1514 Hillhurst Ave // $3 suggested donation // 21+ only, please
