And to Your Right Is Zzzz ...

ninjapoodlessnoring.jpg It's relaxing, in a way, on those short flights - especially if the scenery is beautiful and you're on vacation. Flying over the Dodecanese Islands a few summers ago, I was actually grateful for my window seat, hypnotized by the varying shades of blue and green. Then again ...

A go! airliner overshot Hilo International Airport by 15 miles last week, and the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating whether the pilots were sleeping. "We're investigating whether the pilot and co-pilot of a Feb. 13 go! airlines flight fell asleep while the plane was in the air between Honolulu and Hilo," FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said. Midmorning Flight 1002 drifted off course during the 214-mile trip and had to turn back to get to the airport on the Big Island. The flight landed safely. If the pilots did fall asleep while the plane was on autopilot, FAA rules carry penalties ranging from a warning letter to license suspension or revocation. [AP]

The ironically named "go!" airlines is a nice touch. A warning letter?

Well you didn't mention the full name of the airlines...

GO (to sleep, go to sleep, go to sle-e-e-ep, my sweet baby, Inc)!

That's kinda scary.

At least no one on the plane noticed ... that would be terrifying. But for BOTH of them to be asleep is incredible.
