Good Point ben bang.

I kind of feel that, based on my unscientific polling of acquaintances and friends, that a considerable number of LA denizens went Hill. My guess is that this is mostly over things like a lack of name recognition in the Latino community, the huge prevalence of entrenched establishment democrats in the city's largest industry, and Israel (apparently, there was a widespread misconception until fairly recently that Obama wasn't a strong supporter of Israel.)

Also, Hillary remains a very popular figure amongst democrats. With good reason, since she's beein the recipient of so much bullshit from the right wing. Hell, after the sexist treatment she recieved during New Hampshire, I almost wanted to vote for her just to spite the douchebags on MSNBC (Olbermann excepted, of course.)

I think all in all, it was a combination of geniunie popularity and voters being lazy and going for the famous person who seems like the safe choice. How else do you explain CA voters electing someone like Arnold who obviously does not share CA values?

Obviously, after the last 7 years I'm skeptical. But I think the vote was largely legit. At least, I hope. (You know I'm an Obama voter so it isn't easy for me to say.)

I was fighting the urge to mention the Douglas Adams spelling...

If only ever polling place had the lady who was standing outside of mine. Apparently, the same thing happened to her with trying to vote for a Democrat as an Independent that she went home and printed out all these flyers with directions on what to do, and she stood outside for hours with her kids to hand them out and explain the process.

I'd like to see proof that the uncounted votes would not affect delegate distribution.

Cuz I ain't buyin' that.

AHHH! Damn it I missed that typo. Silly me. In my defense, my mother's maiden name is Douglass. Force of habit. It's now corrected.

(Hides head in shame.)
