Tonight in Rock: Sy Smith, Wyclef Jean, Brand New Heavies

It's a quality night in Echo Park with Super Furry Animals and Holy Fuck are at the Echoplex and if you can swing it, right there at The Echo you'll find The Kooks and The Morning Benders. In Hollywood, Grammy award winning Dirty Vegas front man Steve Smith is slated to play acoustic tonight at the Hotel Cafe (but is not on the calendar anymore, so who knows).

Feel a little more groovy with Wyclef Jean over at the House of Blues (playing Sunday as well), or better yet for tonight, try Sy Smith at The Temple Bar in Santa Monica. If you're in that neighborhood and feel the need for some 80's music in the DJ mix, head to V-Lounge (the Friday night cover band which rocked the 80s quite well no longer plays there, so just the DJ now). More good dancing at King King tonight at Bazaar with FreQ Nasty on the tables.

Listings after the jump.
