Previous bus lanes in Wilshire lasted about 30 minutes before single-occupancy motorists and small businesses had them repealed. Instead of wasting money on these, that money should go into building our needed rail system quicker.

wow pretty excited about that $23M for bus lanes so i can save 12 minutes off a 1.5 hour hike from santa monica to downtown on wilshire. if one is moronic enough to drive cross-town on wilshire, then that person should forfeit the 12 minutes of their live and spend the $23M on a city-wide free beer happy hour every tuesday evening. This is ALMOST on par with the state wasting $140M for the ballona/playa vista wetlands and promptly turning them into a saltwater swamp with no public access for the forseeable future. Way to go elected officials...
