<description>&lt;p&gt;I wonder if any of those schools are part of the Eligibility in the Local Context program (with the UC). ELC would allow students to be eligible for UC if they&apos;re in the top 4% of the graduating class, but might not have access to all the A-G courses required for admission.

Either way, it&apos;s disturbing that eligibility is that close for so many students and the counselors (who spend very little of their time on college counseling and more on scheduling and other issues) aren&apos;t doing much about it.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
