Where to Watch The Results (If It's Not With Us)

If for some oddball reason you decide not to watch election results with all your favorite LAisters, there are many options for you politicos who want to see where the electoral chips will fall.

While all the major candidates will be in their home state to watch the returns tonight, local events around town have been organized by the major candidates so you can watch in pure bliss/misery with like-minded people you can celebrate/commiserate with.

According to the candidate's press offices and public schedules:

  • The Obama camp will be watching the results trickle in from The Avalon in Hollywood: 1735 Vine Street at 8:30 p.m.
  • The Hillary peeps are gathering at the IATSE Local 80 union hall in Burbank: 2520 West Olive Avenue starting at 5 p.m.
  • Romney supporters will be watching the madness at the American Legion Hall in Woodland Hills: 5320 Fallbrook Avenue at 8:30 p.m.
  • Update: McCain's McFollowers will be at Cat and Fiddle in Hollywood: 6530 W. Sunset Blvd., starting at 7 p.m.
  • Mike Huckabee has no campaign events scheduled in the region, his press office said.

As for the candidates themselves, all will be in his or her own home state. Barack Obama will hold an election night party at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Chicago; Hillary Clinton plans to watch the returns at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan; John McCain will bask in glory at the Biltmore in Phoenix; Mike Huckabee will be at the Clear Channel Metroplex in Arkansas; and Mitt Romney will spend the night in Boston at the Convention and Exhibition Center.
