meballard: The pollworkers at your polling place messed up. They were supposed to give you a non-partisan ballot, not a Democractic one. Then they were supposed to send you to a Democratic voting booth. Don't worry, your vote still counted.

I am a non-partisan voter, and I don't see how they would be able to tell the difference. When I got to the table, they asked which party I wanted to vote for, and I chose democrat. They handed me a democrat ballot just as the other people I was with (who are democrat), and so how would they know whether I was a non-partisan voter vs. a democratic voter. From what I could tell (since the ballots are separate from the actual voter), they would have no way of telling me the non-partisan voter from a democratic voter...

I am registered NP but I mailed a change of registration way more than 15 days ago, and apparently they had no record of this. But I had no problems, they asked me what party I wanted to vote for, I told them and they had me write it in on the blank line next the the NP___ then they handed me a ballot. All was good, as far as I know!
