Maybe you’re sick and tired of being all serious, what with this “presidential primaries” junk weighing heavy on your heart and mind. Maybe you’re looking for the perfect place to take that special someone on Valentine’s Day. Or maybe you’re like me, and you’ve just always really, really, really wanted to see the burlesque dancers of Lucha Va Voom shake their shit in between some high-flying authentic Mexican masked wrestling.
Yup – I am so excited about finally getting my ass out to the Mayan Theater to see Lucha that I can hardly keep my nipple tassles from swinging with glee. This time around is their Valentine’s Day show, Love is in the Air, and it looks like they’ve got some pretty special stuff in store for Cupid’s victims.
In addition to the usual line-up of ladies—including Lola La Cereza, Lux LaCroix and Lucy Fur (who has the cutest website ever)—there will be...wait for it...male burlesque dancers. Yay!! And not just any male burlesque dancers…one gentleman in particular by the name of Roky Roulette, who strips down to his banana hammock while bouncing on a pogo stick. Ouch, maybe. Right? I wouldn’t know first-hand. But awesome either way, the way that any male stripper who swings his shlong in your general direction is awesome.
And, Mexican wrestler Ultimo Guerrero makes his Lucha Va Voom debut, alongside wrestler Incognito.
