Voting Goes Txt Msg--Make UR SprTues Ezr!

Saving your voting choices via text message is a great way to make voting easier!Sure, we get the voting guides in the mail (not to mention the endless stream of postcards and pamphlets telling us who is endorsing who or what proposition) but in the digital age it should be easier to keep track of your intended votes. (Not to mention a great way to save paper!)

The LA Times has just released its Electronic Voter Guide, which gives you a form to fill out with your selections that will then be sent to either your email address or your cellphone as a text message, so you can have the info at your fingertips when it's time to cast your ballot on Tuesday. Seriously, it's that easy! Here are the directions: "1. Read up on local ballot measures; 2. Mark your vote; 3. Text your plans to your e-mail and/or phone; 4. Take the guide with you to the polls Feb. 5." Ba-da-bing!

Now, if only all the unions and organizations could text you their endorsements instead of printing and mailing all those postcards, which really stack up in election years. Thanks, LA Times, for making rocking the vote a heck of a lot more manageable this year!
