OK, I was finally able to visit the truck. It stops at the Colorado Center in Santa Monica from 9 to 2 and then goes to Abbot Kinney for the rest of the work day. I highly recommend the grilled cheese sandwich with apples but wasn't so crazy about the sweet potato fries which were soggy. Really nice people who work there though. I met the owner -- cute guy with longish hair. Apparently they have two more trucks that are currently getting serviced and they're looking to send those out to the Eastside.

Yeah, actually I've seen this green truck around and as luck would have it the PR people actually sent me a press release. But thanks for bringing Ideal Bite to my attention.

Good idea but limited to where it can be. Not everyone is going to pay $6 for a grill cheese sandwich. The "roach coach" will still service the late night partier, blue collar workers, and the rest if the general community.

This is so cool! What a great way to enjoy more healthful and environmental conscious "fast" food. Hope they add more trucks to their fleet so they can share the love around the whole city.
