SoRo to Fight Robertson Blvd. Strip Club

Move a strip club into a neighborhood full of single family homes and you're looking for a big freak out. Skin is set to open at 3388 S. Robertson Blvd. (that's where Robertson, Exposition and Venice all meet) pending a police permit hearing set for tonight. A well organized South Robertson community effort has delayed the opening of the new local amenity at the border of Los Angeles and Culver City.

"SKIN may have been open since December, but they have not yet been granted their final permit from the Police," the opposition's swanky website states in today's blog post. "Because of the hundreds of letters that you’ve written, the police have scheduled this special hearing. It’s been scheduled for one reason only: to hear your concerns."

The opposition has raised over $8,500 so far to make sure the old Culver City Meat storefront doesn't reopen for some live meat.
