Great job covering my hood! Love the pictures and cool secrets you've squirreled out. Another fantastic installment from Kemp. Kudos!!

A minor quibble... Country Club Park only extends from Pico to Olympic. North of Olympic are the neighborhoods of Wilshire Park, Windsor Village, Fremont Place, and Brookside (going east to west).

The Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council has a map (.pdf) and bylaws (.pdf, see Appendix A), which detail its composite neighborhood boundaries, including the above neighborhoods.

Anyway, in addition to fantastic Korean BBQ, there are a variety of other Korean restaurants (noodle shops, dumplings, yakitori, etc) and two affordable day spas which are worth checking out.

We also have rapid and regular bus service along Olympic (28 and 728), in addition to the other major thoroughfares you mentioned.

What a great piece! Thanks for the introduction to a neighborhood I've only driven past. There was a piece in the Times' Home section a while ago about the owner of the "behemoth," with pictures of the inside, but I can't remember when that was or what the man's name was. So helpful =]

We've got our fingers crossed that the rumors of Soul Vegetarian re-opening in February are true... let's hope!

Wow! That was so satisfying!

I think that's the driving range used in The Italian Job.
