Becks Is Not For Sale! (At Least Not to Newcastle, That Is)

LA Galaxy soccer star David Beckham is not for sale to Newcastle UnitedFear not, fans of Posh and Becks, the high-profile pair are not going to be packing up and heading out of our fair city, as rumors have been circulating.

While Los Angeles Galaxy's star midfielder has been passing the ball as part of some MLS off-season training of late, he has not been in talks with the Newcastle United team about a possible signing. The UK's SkySports reports that Beckham "played under [Newcastle's new manager Kevin] Keegan for England and it was reported that Newcastle were lining up a short-term deal for him."

Now the LA Galaxy are adding their voice to the fray in hopes of stamping out the rumors. SkySports also reports that: "Los Angeles Galaxy president Alexi Lalas has insisted David Beckham is not for sale to Newcastle or anyone else." Lalas continues, stating that "Every indication [he has] received from David is that he and his family are enjoying life in America and in Los Angeles."

Certainly, if the Spice Girl and the Soccer (err, Football) star's television special Coming to America, was any indication, things are quite lovely here in LA for the couple. After all, what Angeleno wouldn't enjoy dining at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles with Snoop Dogg?

"David is not for sale at any price," insists Lalas. Well, unless it's for reality television. But that's another story.
