Barragan’s Mexican Restaurant in Echo Park has been around for more than 40 years. It’s popular with those eating on the cheap on Monday nights because of its $1 soft tacos.

FILM (OPTION 2)
As part of AFI’s “100 years…100 movies” series, the ArcLight in Sherman Oaks screens Steven Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The film is #31 on AFI's 100 Years… 100 Thrills list and #58 on AFI's 100 Years… 100 Cheers list. Now while we know that the film is Spielberg’s personal homage to the possibilities of space, time and imagination, etc., we still find the film a bit on the boring side and the ending a big letdown.
