Pencil This In: Sunday

StarTrekActionFigures.jpg"He knows, Doctor. He knows." A Flickr user gives us what he calls a "dramatic and gritty view of [his] silly Star Trek action figures."

GEEK OUT
You know you want to...so you may as well do it. Star Trek: The Tour has docked on the Queen Mary. Beam yourself up and get yourself to Long Beach to see exhibits from all five TV shows and each of the 10 movies, including Captain Kirk's chair. Bring your Vulcun ears and your Klingon-English dictionary and get into whatever character, or warp speed, you want.

10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. // Queen Mary // 1126 Queens Hwy., Long Beach // $35 adults, $17.50 children

FILM
Spend your early evening hours with Buster Keaton as The Silent Movie Theatre screens his 1924 picture Sherlock Jr. about a film projectionist who longs for a girl and the chance to be a detective in the movies. The show will feature a live musician and begin with some Keaton shorts.

4:00 p.m. // The Silent Movie Theatre // 611 N Fairfax Ave // $12

COMEDY
iO West's weekly Sketch show "The Road to Rage" runs tonight in Hollywood. It's billed as a "series of sketches about life, liberty, and the pursuit of rage in L.A." and features the talents of Marian Belgray, Rob Blatt, George Caleodis, Sean Cowhig, Jennifer Fitzgerald, Meredith Green, Matt Lageman, Graham Norris and Kat Thomas. Directed by Doug Karo. 21+ up, full bar.

8:00 p.m. // iO West Mainstage // 6366 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood // $5

NIGHTCLUB
Why not? Hopefully you don't have to work tomorrow, so why not take advantage and party like a Hollywood-ite at LAX for their Sunday night called "Banana Split." Steve Aioki and DJ AM spin. Drink and dance, my friends. 21+ of course. Unless you're famous.

9:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. // LAX // 1714 Las Palmas Ave. //Cover varies
